Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. We believe that God has revealed Himself in three distinct yet unified Persons in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in Jesus Christ as God incarnate who possesses all the attributes of God in human form. We believe He was born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, died, and was buried; On the third day, He rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father.

We believe that forgiveness and salvation are a gift of God’s grace offered through Christ’s bloodshed and are received through one’s repentance and faith in the resurrected Jesus Christ. We believe that through His Spirit, Jesus is working and moving in and through the lives of those who profess genuine faith in Him.

Mission

Vision

We are an authentic community of Christ followers that are a part of His global church existing to glorify Him, striving to love Him, love our neighbors, and be entirely His by practicing His way of life.

Values

We value the character of God.

We value worshiping God.

We value the authority of scripture.

We value the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

We value the centrality of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We value our identity as God’s children.

We value Christ’s call to make disciples.

We value small groups as a key way to grow in Christ.

We value reaching out to the least, last, and lost.
Who Jesus Christ is and what He has done is central to everything at CTK. It informs who we are and what we are to do. It is the feast of salvation, forgiveness, healing, and transformation. We desire to know Jesus intimately through practicing His way of life that we might be formed into His image for God’s glory and for the sake of others.

We get to take part in this feast as we seek Him personally, in large worship gatherings, and in small relational groups and in our individual apprenticeship to Jesus. We then get to go and reach out to those who are hungry and make a place for them at His table.

Rule Of Life

The daily, practical habits associated with the way of Jesus are an integral part of how we live as His disciples. We hope every disciple of Christ would create and follow a Rule of Life, as we believe that God will bless this practice and knit our hearts more fully with Him and with each other as we do so.

The Holy Spirit has led the leadership of CTK to create a set of relational rhythms and habits that will serve to guide our lives in Christ and mature us in Him. As a starting place, we invite you to adopt two daily rhythms and two weekly ones: A daily practice of Scripture (time spent dwelling in God’s Word) and Prayer (intentional time in communication with the Father), and weekly practices of Sabbath (fighting against the culture’s draw to busyness and distraction through rest) and Community (gathering regularly to share life together as the body of Christ).
